PAYU WALLET BALANCE CAMPAIGN
  1. This promotional offer (the “Campaign”) is promoted by PayU Payment Solutions Proprietary Limited, an online payment service provider incorporated under the laws of South Africa (registration number 2009/017393/07) (“PayU”, “us”, “we” or “our”).
  2. Each user that signs up and activates their PayU Wallet in accordance with paragraph 5 below for the first time will automatically receive a reward of PayU Credits (as defined in the PayU User Agreement referred to in paragraph 13 below) from PayU directly into their PayU Wallet Balance (“Reward”). 
  3. Each Reward is valued at an amount equal to R30 and is safely stored as credit in your PayU Wallet.
  4. This Campaign is available to South African residents who are least 18 years old or older. 
  5. To qualify for your Reward, you will be required to be a new Connect ID user (which name may change from time to time) and you will have to activate your PayU Wallet account by:
    1. logging into our PayU consumer portal (https://consumerportal.payu.co.za/users/login/); or
    2. logging into our PayU Wallet App; or
    3. logging into your PayU Wallet via a PayU payment page.
  6. When you activate your PayU Wallet account, you will be required set a PIN and security question.  PayU will automatically top up your PayU Wallet Balance with the Reward.
  7. To access your Reward, select the PayU Wallet as your payment option and follow the prompts to log into your PayU Wallet. When you have logged into your PayU Wallet, you will see the Reward reflecting in your PayU Wallet Balance.

  9. Each new PayU Wallet user is only entitled to one Reward. We reserve the right to disqualify any user from participating in the Campaign who we reasonably believe has created multiple PayU Wallet accounts for the purpose of obtaining multiple Rewards.  
  10. You are responsible for the cost (if any) associated with downloading and/or accessing your Reward from your computer or mobile device.
  11. We are only offering one Reward each to newly activated PayU Wallet Users. This Campaign is subject to availability and limited stocks may apply.
  12. The Campaign commences on 3 November 2015 and shall endure for a period of three (3) months but the Campaign is subject to Reward availability and PayU reserves the right to extend, withdraw, or shorten the duration of the Campaign and if PayU chooses to do so, PayU will notify all the users on its Website.  No user will have a claim against PayU in this event.
  13. If you qualify and access a Reward in accordance with these Rules, it is your responsibility to ensure that you understand and read our PayU Wallet User Agreement.
  14. We provide the Reward by topping up your PayU Wallet Balance and are non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash or other monetary value but you can make a purchase at one of the many participating partners [insert link to our www.payu.co.za/consumer/merchants] or buy, for example, prepaid airtime or prepaid electricity from the PayU consumer portal or our PayU Wallet App.
  15. PayU shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in  Privacy Policy and in accordance with data protection legislation. You consent to us contacting you about your new PayU Wallet with your Reward, for marketing purposes, and for administration purposes.
  16. PayU may pass your personal information to carefully selected service providers and/or partners and/or otherwise engage third party service providers solely in connection with this Campaign and where the third party is acting on PayU’s behalf for the purposes of administering this Campaign and/or as otherwise required by law.  We may send you more information about PayU’s products or services relating to your PayU Wallet but you can opt out from receiving any information from PayU at any time.  We do not sell your personal information.
  17. As far as the law allows, neither PayU, its respective affiliates, members, directors, officers, employees or agents of the aforementioned, shall be liable for any loss (including data) or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever which may be suffered as a result of this Campaign. Nothing in these Rules shall exclude the liability of PayU under law for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.

    This paragraph 17 limits and excludes obligations, liabilities and legal responsibilities which PayU may have towards you, including by way of example, any disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of activating your PayU Wallet for the purposes of accessing your Reward or any loss incurred by you as result of your failure to properly install any hardware and/or software associated in and to your PayU Wallet and e-shopping.This paragraph also limits and excludes your rights and remedies against PayU and other persons.

  18. PayU reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Campaign with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of PayU in all matters relating to the Campaign is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. PayU shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Campaign where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
  20. If the Campaign is regulated by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, it is not intended that any provision of these Rules contravenes any provision of the Consumer Protection Act and therefore all provisions of these Rules must be treated as being qualified, if necessary, to ensure that the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act are complied with.
  21. The Campaign and these Rules will be governed by the laws of South Africa and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African Courts.
